Hollywood’s most unexpected rumored couple just turned up the heat. Dakota Johnson and MGK (Colson Baker, formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly) have been spotted together twice in Los Angeles in one week, and the second time, according to Page Six, ended with his car parked outside her house the next morning.
A speakeasy date
Us Weekly reports that Johnson, 37, and MGK, 36, were seen on Wednesday, October 14 at Say Yes, a Hollywood speakeasy and cocktail lounge built around an old-Hollywood theme. Footage shared by DeuxMoi showed the rapper trying to stay low-key in all black with a hoodie partly over his face, while Johnson wore a black leather jacket over a cropped white tee.
Then the sleepover
The next night, Page Six obtained photos and video of Johnson waiting outside MGK’s Los Angeles recording studio in an oversized leopard-print coat. When he came out, he cleared the front seat of his Maserati, moving a denim Hermès Birkin into the trunk, and she climbed in. Page Six says it also obtained pictures of his car still parked at her house on Friday morning.
How it started
According to Us Weekly and Page Six, the two connected at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding in July and first sparked romance rumors in early September, when they reportedly spent time at Swift’s Tribeca apartment before dinner at Estela. Johnson later sat front row at Vogue World 2026: Milano, where MGK performed on September 22.
“They are seriously dating and their relationship has moved quickly since they met at Taylor’s wedding,” a source told Us Weekly in late September. People also confirmed in September that MGK is Johnson’s latest romantic interest. Neither star has publicly confirmed a relationship, so officially it is still a rumored romance.
Her ex, his ex
Johnson dated Coldplay frontman Chris Martin from 2017 to 2025, and joked to Vogue that she has a history of dating musicians. MGK was famously engaged to Megan Fox; Us Weekly reports they split for good in late 2024. Funny timing: Fox just made headlines of her own with her Subs.com launch.
Us Weekly’s source also said some of Johnson’s friends have “questioned whether Colson is the right fit for the kind of life she ultimately wants.” For now, the source says, “they are having a lot of fun right now, getting to know each other.”

Fifty Shades star and rock-and-roll rapper is a pairing nobody predicted, which is exactly why everyone is watching. If the sightings keep coming at this pace, a red carpet debut cannot be far away.
