Cora Jade: ‘Ectopic Pregnancy, Boyfriend Leaves Me, Lose My Knee, Dog Dies… Then I Got Fired’

“Ectopic pregnancy, boyfriend leaves me, lose my knee, dog dies. And then I got fired a few months later.” That’s former WWE star Cora Jade, now Elayna Black in TNA, summing up two years of her life in about ten seconds. The line comes from Immersed: Elayna Black, a 37-minute documentary Fight Network and TNA Wrestling released on October 28, 2026 (TNA Wrestling on YouTube, PWInsider). A 12-second cut posted on X with the caption “This is just fucked up” passed 1.3 million views within a day (@Hitmansithh on X).

Watch: “Boyfriend leaves me, lose my knee, dog dies”

Twelve seconds, and it’s the most-shared moment from TNA’s Immersed film for a reason. Elayna Black, the former Cora Jade, sits in a black tank top and calmly counts it off: ectopic pregnancy, boyfriend leaves, knee gone, dog dies, then fired a few months later. She even smiles through it.

What she actually said

The viral clip is the punchline of a longer passage. Here it is from the film, word for word, minus the cutaways to her family and friends:

“Yeah, so I feel like I kind of got hit like back-to-back-to-back. I had an ectopic pregnancy. It’s not a viable pregnancy, and it’s very life-threatening. I was internally bleeding, like very bad. So, they had to rush me into emergency surgery like right then and there. Those few months following that, I was the most depressed I’ve ever been in my life. I guess I didn’t realize, you know, postpartum depression is a very serious thing.”

“On January 12th, I do a live event. I’m wrestling Lyra. Tear my ACL. Not only my ACL, my ACL, MCL, and both meniscuses.”

“So, yeah. Ectopic pregnancy, boyfriend leaves me, lose my knee, dog dies. And then, I got fired a few months later.”

Every part of it checks out

  • The ectopic pregnancy: January 2023. She first told this on Uncrowned’s The Ariel Helwani Show on June 2, 2025: she was rushed into emergency surgery the night before a TV match with Lyra Valkyria, “this close” to bleeding out, and doctors removed her left fallopian tube. It is why she missed NXT Stand & Deliver 2023 (Fightful, Wrestling Inc.).
  • The boyfriend: she doesn’t name him in the film. She had been openly dating Bron Breakker since 2022 (Wrestling Inc., Oct. 2022), and in early January 2024 fans noticed they had wiped each other from social media (Ringside News, Jan. 7, 2024). On Helwani’s show she said the “really bad break up” came right before the knee injury.
  • The knee: January 12, 2024, at a live event against Lyra Valkyria. ACL, MCL and both menisci. The film shows her hospital-bed video after surgery, dated January 23, 2024. It kept her out for most of 2024.
  • The dog: she told Helwani her dog died right before she was due back from the injury.
  • Fired: WWE released her on May 2, 2025, in a round of cuts that also included her old partner Gigi Dolin (PWInsider). WWE never gave a reason.
  • The Uncrowned headline at the end of the clip is real: “Cora Jade opens up on WWE release, body-shaming within the company: ‘It was just constant’” by Drake Riggs, June 2, 2025 (Uncrowned / Yahoo Sports).

This is the full story behind the viral clip. Elayna talks about the ruptured ectopic pregnancy, the internal bleeding and the depression that followed, then the film cuts to her hospital-bed videos after ACL, MCL and meniscus surgery in January 2024. Her mom speaks too. Heavy, honest and worth all of it.

My take

I’ve watched a lot of wrestling documentaries, and this is the line people will remember from this one. She’s 25. In a little over two years she nearly bled out, went through a depression she didn’t even have a name for, got her heart broken, wrecked her knee, buried her dog and lost the job she had dreamed about since she was eight. And she tells it with a little smile, like a girl who has already cried about it and is done crying. That’s not sad to me. That’s tough.

What I like most is that she doesn’t play the victim. She calls it what it was, rock bottom, and then she talks about what she did next: she took a break, started an OnlyFans, made her money on her own terms, then went back to the company she used to email as a 13-year-old fan. Fans called her injury-prone back in NXT. Now we know what she was actually dealing with. I’m rooting for her, and if TNA is smart, they put the Knockouts title on her before somebody else does.

Where she is now

She stepped away from the ring in summer 2025, saying she was having panic attacks before matches (NY Fights). TNA introduced her as its newest Knockout on January 15, 2026 and officially signed her on January 28 (TNA Wrestling). She lost a Knockouts World Title cage match to Xia Brookside at Lockdown in Chicago on August 23, 2026, after Brookside threw powder in her eyes (PWTorch), and on October 8 she went to a 10-minute draw with Knockouts TV Champion M by Elegance (Wrestling Inc.). In the film she says she has found her love for wrestling again.

The reaction on X

The 12-second cut from @Hitmansithh, posted on October 29 at 6:36 a.m. Bangkok time, had about 1.37 million views, 8,700 likes and 4,500 bookmarks by that afternoon. The caption was only five words: “This is just fucked up.”
