I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes, and the hardest costume to shoot is the one that’s barely there. A few strips of white tape, and every angle is a risk. Cara Delevingne picked exactly that for Halloween 2026: Leeloo’s bandage outfit from The Fifth Element. Then, that same night, she turned up at Kendall Jenner’s party in a sequin corset, pearls and fishnets as Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

Cara Delevingne didn’t do one Halloween costume this year. She did two, and both are sex symbols from cult movies. On Oct. 30, 2026, the 34-year-old posted photos on Instagram as Leeloo, the “supreme being” Milla Jovovich played in Luc Besson’s 1997 film The Fifth Element (Elle, Cosmopolitan). Fluorescent orange bob with a choppy fringe, lightly bleached brows, and a copy of the white bandage outfit, shot in purple and pink light. She called Leeloo her “ultimate girl crush” (ComicBasics).
That same Friday night she turned up at Kendall Jenner’s Halloween birthday party at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles as someone else entirely: Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Tim Curry’s character from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The Daily Mail caught her leaving in full makeup (Daily Mail). On Oct. 31 she posted the look with the caption “Dr Frank N Furter will see you now. Don’t dream it, be it. Tim Curry forever” (Marie Claire Brazil).
The photos: Cara Delevingne as Leeloo and Frank-N-Furter
Embedded from X, not re-hosted. The photos come from Cara Delevingne’s own Instagram, as the posts credit. Pop Crave’s Leeloo post passed about 249,000 views and 12,800 likes. Complex’s Frank-N-Furter post, which sets her photos next to a still of Tim Curry from 20th Century Studios, had about 12,000 views when we checked.
Costume one: Leeloo, piece by piece
- The hair: a bright orange bob with a straight, choppy fringe, the single detail everyone recognizes from across a room (ComicBasics).
- The brows: lightly bleached, like Jovovich’s in the film.
- The bandages: white strips crossing her chest and wrapped around her legs, a copy of the thermal-bandage outfit Jean Paul Gaultier designed for the film. In the original, Leeloo wakes up in it after being rebuilt in a lab.
- The poses: martial-arts stances against the wall, in violet and pink light, like the movie.
Costume two: Dr. Frank-N-Furter, piece by piece
- The face: white skin, heavy blue eyeshadow, arched brows and dark wine lips (Marie Claire Brazil).
- The hair: a short, curly black wig.
- The corset: black sequins, laced up the front (Marie Claire Brazil), with fishnets and garters below (Complex).
- The extras: a pearl necklace, long glittery black gloves, a prop cigarette and the red “BOSS” heart tattoo on her upper arm, just like Tim Curry’s in the film. In one frame she throws a black leather jacket over it all.
Nico’s take: one night, the angel and the devil

In my business we have a word for Leeloo’s outfit: wardrobe stress. Strips of tape and not much else, and every move is one inch from a reshoot. Gaultier built it in 1997 to look innocent, a woman who was just born. On Cara it reads the other way. She has the cheekbones and the stare, and she shot it like a fashion editorial, not a party snap.
Then she flips it. Frank-N-Furter is the most shameless seducer in movie history. In the film he works his way through Brad and Janet in one night. Cara copied it all down to the tattoo: corset, garters, pearls, dark lipstick.
My take: most stars pick a costume. Cara picked a range. In the space of one day she went from the purest woman in sci-fi to the dirtiest host in cult cinema. That’s not dressing up, that’s a screen test.

One more thing from my side of the camera. Leeloo isn’t a random pick for her. Besson, the man who made The Fifth Element, cast Cara as Laureline in his 2017 space film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (ComicBasics). So this is half tribute, half in-joke. And she’s busy: she released her first album, Not Normal, on Warner Records at the end of September, and her A24 film Club Kid premiered at Cannes in May (Marie Claire Brazil). My bet, not news: a double costume this sharp is a pitch. Somebody is going to cast her in a remake.

Who wore it better? The other Leeloos and Franks
Cara wasn’t the only one who went there. Out reported that Dove Cameron also dressed as Dr. Frank-N-Furter this Halloween, with a curly black wig, fishnets and a corset (Out). And fans on X lined Cara’s Leeloo up next to Samara Weaving’s, which is a throwback: Weaving did her Leeloo shoot in October 2024. Cara is the only one who did both looks.
Inside Kendall Jenner’s Halloween party at Bar Marmont
Kendall turns 31 on Nov. 3, and she threw her Halloween birthday party early, on Friday, Oct. 30, at Bar Marmont (Just Jared). Cara was on a stacked guest list. Tate McRae came as Catwoman in black leather, and Charli XCX was Lee Holloway from Secretary, wrists locked to an arm bar. JENNIE was Suki from 2 Fast 2 Furious, and Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti were the Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood. Zoey Deutch was Jessica Rabbit and Rita Ora came as Dolly Parton (Where Celebs Go, Daily Mail). See Kendall Jenner’s hub.
