Angela White (Angela Gabrielle White, born 1984 or 1985) is an Australian adult-film performer and director. She is in the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame. In 2020 she became the first person to win AVN Female Performer of the Year three years running. This hub opens with the story she has told in several interviews: she was shamed and attacked at school for her sexuality, and that pushed her toward porn rather than away from it. Angela White Slut-Shamed in High School: “Porn Was the First Place…”
In late October 2026 a clip from Angela White’s sit-down with Adam22 on the No Jumper podcast went viral on X again. A DN_degen post drew more than 320,000 views within a day. In the clip she explains why porn first looked like a safe space to her:
“…the way that I expressed my sexuality. I was labeled a slut when I was sleeping with men and then I was labeled a lesbian when I was sleeping with women. No matter what I did sexually it was deemed inappropriate. And porn was the first place that I saw women being celebrated for having sex with multiple people.”
“The slang for lesbian in Australia is lemon… So I would get lemons thrown at me at school.”
“I got punched in the face too. By another girl… For being a lesbian.”
“If anything it kind of made me… I had more resolve. I was like, there’s nothing wrong with what I’m doing… So it made me want to get into porn even more.”

This is not a one-off podcast line. She told The Daily Beast much the same thing in December 2017: “if I was having sex with boys I was considered a slut and when I was having sex with girls I was criticized as being a lesbian.” She added that she “had lemons thrown at me” in the playground. In a 2018 news.com.au interview (republished by the NZ Herald) she said she was “teased and called a slut and a lesbian at age 14” and “punched in the face for expressing my sexuality”. In the same interview she said that “Porn was the first space where I saw people being celebrated for having sex with multiple people of varying genders.”
On No Jumper she also describes how her career started. She had just turned 18 and was still in high school when she contacted SCORE, the big-bust publisher behind SCORE and Voluptuous magazines, which flew models in to shoot in Miami. Her first shoot was a solo in Miami. She says she shot girl/girl for about eight years and did not do boy/girl porn until 2011. In between she earned a gender-studies degree at the University of Melbourne.

Fact Check: What the Viral Post Gets Right and Wrong
- Right: the slut/lesbian quote and the “porn was the first place…” line. She says both on camera, and she said similar things to The Daily Beast (2017) and news.com.au (2018).
- Right: she started in 2003 at 18. Her first shoots were solo, and boy/girl came later (2011, by her own account and per Wikipedia/AVN).
- Wrong timing: “$1,500–$2,000 per scene and $2,500+ per anal scene” as her pay in 2003. Those numbers come from the 2018 news.com.au interview, not from 2003. In it she said “My scenes start at $1900” and “My rate for anal starts at $2500 and goes up if it includes double penetration.” In 2003 she was not shooting boy/girl scenes at all.
- Wrong age: the post says she is “now 37”. She was born in 1984 or 1985, so she is about 40–41 in 2026.
- Unverified: “top 0.01% on OnlyFans”. We found no reliable source for that exact figure.
Who Is Angela White?
She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2010 with first-class honours in gender studies. Her honours research looked at women’s experiences in the Australian porn industry. A version of it, “The Porn Performer: The Radical Potential of Pleasure in Pornography”, was published in The Routledge Companion to Media, Sex and Sexuality (2017). Also in 2010, she ran for the Australian Sex Party in the Victorian state election and won 2.9% of the vote.
She works under her real name. She told BuzzFeed: “It was a political statement… I’m not ashamed of what I do.” She launched angelawhite.com in 2013 and became the first Australian Fleshlight Girl in 2014. She built her own AGW Entertainment label and its Angela Loves… series. In 2016 she moved to the US and signed with Spiegler Girls, and in October 2021 she signed an exclusive contract with Brazzers. She was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2018 and won AVN Female Performer of the Year in 2018, 2019 and 2020. XBIZ has called her “Australia’s most well-known adult performer”, and The Daily Beast called her “the Meryl Streep of porn”.
