Natalia Marisa Oreiro Iglesias was born on 19 May 1977 in Montevideo, Uruguay, and moved to Buenos Aires as a teenager. After Ricos y famosos (1997) she became a household name as Mili in Muñeca brava (1998–1999), a telenovela that made her hugely famous in Russia and Eastern Europe, where she still tours as a singer. Her films include Cleopatra (2003), Infancia clandestina (2011), Wakolda (2013), Gilda (2016), Casi muerta (2023), La mujer de la fila (2025), Nada entre los dos (2026) and Yo, Narciso (2026), and on TV she starred in Sos mi vida, Solamente vos and Iosi, el espía arrepentido. She has been with the Divididos singer Ricardo Mollo since 2001, and they have a son, Merlín.
