Lizzo picked an anime grandma for Halloween and made her the most talked-about costume on X. The singer dressed as Seiko Ayase, Momo’s grandmother in Dandadan, with a towering white wig, glasses, a varsity jacket, tiny green shorts and what Billboard calls “a massive faux bust” (Billboard). PopCrave’s post of her photos passed 2.5 million views and 36,000 likes, and Pop Base’s passed 3 million views by Thursday midday, Bangkok time (PopCrave on X, Pop Base on X).

Watch: “I’m Granny Seiko”
She didn’t just post photos. Lizzo wore the costume on a Halloween livestream with streamer N3on, who came as Mr. Incredible. The Kick broadcast, titled “N3on x Lizzo Halloween Special”, ran about 1 hour 45 minutes and peaked at roughly 38,900 viewers, according to StatsForKick. Lizzo also went live on her own Twitch channel under the title “LIZZO X N3ON”.
In the clip above she adjusts the top of the costume on camera, jokes that the underboob is “showing a little bit”, and introduces herself: “I’m Granny Seiko.”
The big hug
The clips that spread fastest were about the bust. In this one, a friend on the stream goes in for a hug outside a Halloween store, and the pair joke about it being silicone. Another clip, posted by ClipperViralHQ and seen more than 540,000 times, shows N3on yelling “You can’t do that!” in the car. The post says Lizzo broke Twitch’s rules by hitting a vape on stream, and another clip account says the same.

Halloween is Lizzo’s holiday
Billboard notes she goes all out “as she does every year”. In 2024 she dressed as “LizzOzempic”, a fake weight-loss drug lifted from a South Park joke about her (Deadline). In 2022 she did four costumes in one weekend, including Marge Simpson and Miss Piggy (Rolling Stone).
Her next big costume-free appearance is on Thanksgiving: Houston named her grand marshal of the 77th H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 26, with her old high school marching band (FOX 26 Houston, City of Houston).
