I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes, and I’ll tell you the oldest trick in casting: put the predator and the prey in the same frame and let the audience do the rest. Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti just did it on a sidewalk in West Hollywood. She came as Little Red Riding Hood, red cape, black corset laced tight, garters and sheer stockings. He came as the Big Bad Wolf. The internet did the rest.
Vittoria Ceretti’s Halloween costume in 2026 was a sexy Little Red Riding Hood, with her boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio as the Big Bad Wolf. The couple arrived at Kendall Jenner’s Halloween and 31st-birthday party at Bar Marmont in West Hollywood on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026 (Just Jared). According to the Daily Mail, Ceretti, 28, wore “a long red cape and saucy black corset over a white peasant blouse and red skirt,” plus special effects makeup that looked like a bruise over her right eye. DiCaprio, 51, kept it lazy: dark casual clothes and a black baseball cap with a fanged wolf mask sitting on top.
Then she did something the ultra-private couple almost never does. Greek outlet Protothema reported that Ceretti posted shots of the look on her own Instagram, without showing Leo’s face. Those posed photos are the ones flying around X now: hood up, cleavage spilling over the white ruffles, a wicker basket in one hand, black lace petticoat and garter straps peeking under the mini.

The Red Riding Hood costume, piece by piece
- The cape: long, glossy red satin, with a hood trimmed in white ruffles that frames her face like a bonnet.
- The corset: black, laced up the front and cinched hard over a white off-the-shoulder peasant blouse. The ruffled neckline sits low, and the corset pushes everything up into it.
- The skirt: a short red flared mini with gingham trim and little black bows, with a black lace petticoat underneath.
- The legs: sheer black thigh-high stockings held up by garter straps you can see under the hem.
- The props: a wicker picnic basket lined in red gingham, and, at the party, SFX makeup of a bruise over her right eye, as if the walk through the woods went badly.

Nico’s take: the wolf finally admitted it
The internet has joked about Leo’s dating life for years. This year he put the wolf mask on himself. That’s not a costume, that’s a confession with fangs, and I respect a man who reads his own reviews.
But look at who did the work. He showed up in a cap. She showed up in a corset laced tight, stockings, garters and a bruise like she fought her way out of the forest. I’d cast her as the one in control. Red isn’t lost in these photos. She’s hunting.
My take: three years in, the most private couple in town picked the one costume that turns every joke about them into the joke they’re in on. Smart, sexy, and very Italian.

One more thing from my side of the camera. The paparazzi shots from the sidewalk are dark, grainy and mostly Leo’s cap. The Instagram shots are lit like a campaign: grey wall, soft key light, full length, hood up, eyes straight into the lens. She’s been on two dozen Vogue covers (Wikipedia). She knows which version of the night the world is going to remember, and she made sure it was hers.
Why Red Riding Hood? Leo produced the movie
This isn’t a random pick from a costume shop. DiCaprio produced the 2011 dark fantasy film Red Riding Hood, directed by Catherine Hardwicke, with Amanda Seyfried in the title role and Gary Oldman in the cast (Wikipedia). The Daily Mail pointed it out too: the man seems to be a fan of the fairy tale. Fifteen years after he paid for a wolf movie, he wore the wolf.
And X had a field day with it. The Late Night Tea‘s reply under the most-shared party post said it best: Leo dressing up as the Big Bad Wolf while his girlfriend is Little Red Riding Hood “is the most on-the-nose costume choice in history.
