I’ve been behind the camera since 2001 and shot more than 2,000 scenes, so I know what it takes to build a fantasy under hot lights. Wet hair, a tank of water and a tail that weighs a ton is not a costume. It’s a production.
LISA just went full deep-sea predator for Halloween. On Saturday, Oct. 31, the BLACKPINK star posted her 2026 costume on Instagram and through her label LLOUD: a dark siren with a black scaled tail, clawed silver hands, small fangs and a black crown, shot floating in dark water and lying in a glass tank (Thairath, StarNews).
Thai outlet Thairath reported that likes and comments passed one million in under an hour. Pop Base’s post of the photos passed 1.2 million views and 48,000 likes on X (Pop Base on X). Below: the look, the clip, the story behind her siren streak and her hottest videos.

The look, up close
The tail is the star: black, midnight blue and dark emerald, with raised 3D scales and spiked fins that fan out behind her. Up top she wears a clinging piece that looks like dark coral and kelp, studded with black pearls. Her hands and forearms are painted black and scaled, ending in long silver claws, and there are thin gill prosthetics by her ears (IDN Times).
The face is what sells it: pearl-sheen skin, icy blue lenses, silver lips and small fangs, under a spiky black gothic tiara, with long wet hair and bangs stuck to her cheeks (IDN Times, Maeil Business). Fully covered, and somehow one of the sexiest things she has posted all year.

Siren, not mermaid
Fans keep calling it a mermaid, but the look is a siren, and the difference matters. In Greek myth, sirens sang sailors onto the rocks. Later art gave them fish tails instead of bird wings, and that is the version she plays here: beautiful, cold and dangerous (VIVIA). It is also her second siren in two years. For Halloween 2025 she went as the golden siren from the Jibaro episode of Love, Death + Robots, in a gold jumpsuit dripping with chains and fringe (Elle).
Most stars buy a costume. LISA builds a world: a tank, a tail, prosthetics and a photographer who knows how to light wet skin. That’s a set, not a party outfit.
My take: going dark after last year’s gold is the smart move. Gold was pretty. This one is a threat, and a threat is what people screenshot. It also fits the year she’s having, with a documentary in IMAX and a Vegas residency next month.

This is the one fans replay. In the LALISA video (2021) she poses in a black suit with armed guards, then dances in a black outfit and works a pole under blue lights before riding a quad bike through the desert with her crew. Sexy, playful, no nudity.
