Friends Sex and Games Sex Scenes: Paula Kalenberg, Mona Pirzad and Every Night of the Key Game

Paula Kalenberg and Eric Cordes in the red lingerie scene from Episode 2 (2:34). Every other worthwhile scene from Friends Sex and Games is below, from the first night to the finale.

Every few years a show comes along whose whole pitch fits on a napkin. This one is four couples, one bowl and a set of car keys. Friends Sex and Games is a German Prime Video original that landed worldwide on October 16, 2026, and within a week half of Europe was talking about it. Anna and Paul have been together for half their lives, their friends Julie and Valentin and Bella and Leo have settled into their own routines, and then Anna’s first love Samu comes home with his girlfriend Siena and suggests an old-fashioned key party. The men throw their keys in a bowl, the women draw one, and whoever’s key you pick, you spend the night with. No feelings, no strings. You can guess how well that goes. I went through every clip from the season and kept the 28 worth watching, each with its length and the story behind it, so you can follow the whole game from the first round to the last.

Friends Sex and Games Red Lingerie Scene: Paula Kalenberg and Eric Cordes (2:34)

Paula Kalenberg Sex Scene in Red Lingerie, Episode 2 (2:34)

The scene Anna has been imagining for half her life. Samu takes her back to his loft, she throws off her dress and stands there in red lace, and they end up on a white fur rug under the green lights of the city. It is long, it is hot and it is the sexiest Paula Kalenberg has ever been on screen. Then a phone buzzes on the floor. Anna looks at the screen, looks at Samu, and the spell is broken. The rest of the series is about whether she ever gets it back.

Why does this scene come first? Because it is the one the whole series is built around. Everything Anna does for eight episodes comes from the feeling that she missed out on the wild years everybody else had, and this is the night she gets them back, at least for a while. It is also the longest and most explicit scene of the season, and the one people search for first.

Before the Game: Episode 1

The pilot, Never Have I Ever…, is all set-up. Anna and Bella are busy planning other people’s weddings, Paul is busy with his advertising job, and life in their pretty house with the garden and the pool is comfortable to the point of boring. Then Samu, now a DJ with a career abroad, walks back into town with Siena on his arm, a dinner turns into a drinking game, and the drinking game shows everyone how little Anna and Paul have actually lived. By the end of the episode the keys are in the bowl.

Lilja van der Zwaag and Eric Cordes in the Car, Episode 1 (0:28)

This is how Samu and Siena come back to town: a suitcase dropped on a dark gravel drive, a car with the engine still ticking, and two people who cannot wait until they are inside. Siena climbs across into the driver’s seat in a little red top, Samu pulls her down by the neck, and for half a minute the windows fog up. Then she turns to the camera with a grin, as if to say: this is what the rest of you have been missing. It sets the tone for everything that follows.

Lilja van der Zwaag Topless at the Lake, Episode 1 (2:09)

Anna and Bella run a wedding agency called Annabella, and the first time we see them they are working a garden party at a lakeside villa, clipboards in hand, pretending everything is under control. Then a curly-haired woman climbs out of the water without a top, wraps herself around Anna like an old friend, and the man behind her turns out to be Samu, the man Anna was in love with half her life ago. Siena does not bother covering up for the whole introduction. Anna’s face says everything.

Lilja van der Zwaag in a Sheer Black Slip at Samu’s House, Episode 1 (0:54)

The old crowd arrives for dinner at Samu’s place, and the hostess makes sure nobody forgets who she is. Siena glides around the kitchen in a sheer black slip dress while Anna stands by the counter in a buttoned-up white blouse and Bella in red tries not to stare. Nothing happens yet. But it is the evening that ends with a drinking game, a bowl and a set of keys, and you can feel it coming.

Mona Pirzad and Pascal Houdus in the Pantry, Episode 1 (0:32)

Bella and Leo are the couple who never had a problem in bed, and the show proves it in under a minute. Two wild kids somewhere in the house, no time, no door that locks, so Leo pushes Bella against the shelves of the pantry and her red dress goes up. Jars rattle, a bag of cornflakes tips over and pours onto the floor, and neither of them notices. It is fast, funny and completely shameless, which is exactly who these two are.

Lilja van der Zwaag and Paula Kalenberg: Two Couples, Two Nights, Episode 1 (0:18)

Twenty seconds that explain the whole series. On one side, Siena and Samu, golden light, sweat and tattoos, her head thrown back over the edge of the bed. On the other, Anna and Paul, who have been together forever: a laugh, a bra, a kiss against a door, sweet and a little careful. The cuts go back and forth until the difference is impossible to ignore, and Anna starts asking herself the question that drives the next seven episodes.

The First Key Night: Episode 2

Episode 2 is called Ladies, Pick Your Keys!, and it does exactly what it promises. The rules Siena sets are simple: only yes means yes, sex happens only inside the game, and nobody is allowed to fall in love. Then the four new couples head off into the night, and not one of them has the evening they expected. One night in a luxury hotel goes nowhere, one ends with the police, and the two people who only planned to play Scrabble end up with the night nobody forgets.

Mona Pirzad in Red Lingerie at the Hotel, Episode 2 (1:38)

Bella pulls Valentin’s key out of the bowl, and she does it in style: a suite in a luxury hotel, a velvet bed and a set of red lace lingerie she has clearly been saving. Valentin walks in wearing a mint suit, eats a canapé to buy time and looks like a man waiting for a dentist. She tries everything. She lies back on the bed, she unbuttons his jacket, she puts his hands where they should be. Mona Pirzad is hilarious here, and the scene quietly plants the biggest secret of the season.

Lilja van der Zwaag Sex Scene on the Bridge, Episode 2 (1:40)

Siena gets Leo, and she does not want a hotel. She wants the city. They end up on a half-finished bridge high over the water at night, her in a glittering mini dress and white boots, bent over the railing with the lights of the city behind her. It is the most daring scene of the first key night and it lasts right up until two police officers come up the stairs with flashlights. The second half is pure comedy: two half-dressed adults trying to explain themselves to the Polizei.

Salka Weber and Fridolin Sandmeyer: Scrabble Night, Episode 2 (0:17)

Julie draws Paul, her best friend’s husband, and the two of them agree to do the sensible thing: sit on the sofa and play Scrabble until the night is over. The show films it like a slow-burning love scene anyway. Candles, a board between them, a few words too many, and Paul ends up with his shirt off without anyone quite deciding it. This is the pair who were never supposed to happen, and this is the moment it starts.

Salka Weber Sex Scene with Fridolin Sandmeyer, Episode 2 (0:51)

And then the Scrabble board goes flying. Julie and Paul kiss on the sofa, stop, look at each other in panic, and start again. By the end they are in the dark of the living room, her shirt gone and his hands in her hair. Of all the pairings on the first night, this is the one nobody saw coming, and the one the rest of the season cannot stop circling back to.

Lilja van der Zwaag Undresses on the Sofa, Episode 2 (0:16)

Siena curled up on the big green sofa in their loft, peeling off a black blazer and grinning at Samu across the room. He stands there with a glass of water and the look of a man who knows exactly where this is going. A handful of seconds, no dialogue that matters, and it says everything about the most relaxed couple in the show.

Lilja van der Zwaag and Eric Cordes Sex Scene, Season 1 (0:48)

Siena and Samu are the couple who brought the game, and they treat their own relationship the same way: open, loud and fun. Here they start with a kiss in the kitchen of their industrial loft, him in an open white shirt, her pulling him toward the window, and they finish wrapped around each other against the glass. Lilja van der Zwaag gets her best close-ups of the season here, laughing in the middle of it.

The Morning After: Episodes 3 and 4

The next two episodes are about the hangover. Anna wants to play again, Paul wants his wife back, Bella and Leo are on a high but drowning in kids, and Julie and Valentin look happier than ever, as long as you do not look too closely. Meanwhile Samu has an offer to go back to Ibiza, and the only way to keep him in town runs straight through Paul.

Mona Pirzad in a Police Costume, Episode 3 (1:36)

The day after the game Bella and Leo are still riding the high, so Bella brings out the costume: a police cap, a blue uniform shirt and not a lot else. Leo is handcuffed to the bed frame, grinning like an idiot. Then her phone rings. It is work, then the kids, then work again, and Bella ends up pacing the bedroom in her uniform sorting out somebody else’s emergency while her husband lies there cuffed and forgotten. Possibly the funniest scene of the season.

Paula Kalenberg and Fridolin Sandmeyer at Home, Season 1 (2:15)

Anna wants another round of the game and Paul does not, so he makes her a promise: he will bring the excitement back himself. The clip opens with Anna lying across their bed in a red slip trying to wake him up and Paul asleep on the pillow. Later, in the hallway, he finally gets it, dangling a set of keys in front of her with a look she has not seen in years. She unbuttons her blouse on the spot. It is the most tender scene in the show, and Paula Kalenberg plays both halves of it beautifully.

Salka Weber, Mona Pirzad, Paula Kalenberg and Lilja van der Zwaag at Yoga, Season 1 (1:03)

Sunday yoga on the grass by the lake, which is really just an excuse for the women to compare notes about their nights. Everybody is upside down in downward dog, sports tops slipping, talking over each other about who did what with whom, while the instructor tries to get them to breathe. Julie in a loose white top gets the most attention from the camera. It is the lightest minute of the series and a good reminder that it is a comedy as much as anything else.

Paula Kalenberg in the Sauna with Eric Cordes, Episode 4 (0:42)

Anna has talked Paul into a second game, and now she has to tell Samu. She finds him in the sauna. She sits on the wooden bench wrapped in a towel, he sits next to her with his tattoos and a towel around his waist, and they talk about everything except what they want. Samu has news of his own: Ibiza is calling him back. The heat, the silence and Anna’s face as she hears it make this one of the best acted scenes of the season.

Mona Pirzad and Pascal Houdus Back in the Pantry, Episode 4 (0:19)

Some couples have a bedroom; Bella and Leo have a pantry. They are back among the jars, Bella in red lace this time and Leo shirtless, and once again they knock half the shelf over. A short burst that proves the game has only made these two hungrier.

The Second Game and the Date: Episodes 5 and 6

Episode 5, Let’s Do it Again!, is the second round of the game, bigger and riskier than the first. Anna and Samu have a secret plan to end up together, and it does not survive contact with the bowl. Episode 6 gives Anna what the game would not: a real date with Samu, planned down to the last detail.

The Second Key Game: Salka Weber and Friends, Episode 5 (0:41)

The second Game of Keys, and the show cuts it like a music video. A blonde with a hair clip laughs her way through it on a pile of patterned cushions, Bella sprawls in black lace across a red sofa, and Julie ends up in the arms of the one man she should not want, the same bearded man she spent Scrabble night with, this time without the board as an excuse. The official line for this episode is that nobody gets what they planned, and you can see it on every face.

Paula Kalenberg Nude with Eric Cordes Under the Neon, Episode 6 (0:42)

Samu plans a surprise date and Anna finally says yes to everything. They end up in a room full of blue light and hanging glitter curtains, on a giant purple cushion, and this time no phone rings. Paula Kalenberg is topless for most of it, Samu sits back and watches her like he cannot believe his luck, and the whole thing feels like the night she always believed she had missed. It is the most romantic sex scene in the show, and the most dangerous for her marriage.

The Finale: Siena’s Birthday Party

Everything comes together at Siena’s birthday party, a decadent night in an old ballroom with burlesque dancers, a stage show and a last round of the key game. Anna has to choose between the life she has and the one she dreamed about, Bella and Leo have to decide what their marriage really is, and Julie and Valentin both have something to confess. These are the scenes from that last night, in the order the show gives them to you.

Salka Weber in a Blue Bra Getting Ready, Episode 8 (0:40)

Before the last party, Anna in a gold sequin dress and Julie in nothing but a blue bra and a short skirt, trying on outfits in the studio and talking about the things they have not told anyone. Julie cannot decide what to wear, Anna cannot decide what she wants, and both of them are about to find out at the same party.

Inside Siena’s Birthday Party, Episode 8 (3:18)

The finale takes place at Siena’s birthday party in a crumbling old ballroom, and it is not a normal birthday. There is a woman bathing in a giant champagne glass, couples kissing in every corner, dancers in corsets and men in open shirts. Anna in gold sequins and Bella in black velvet walk in arm in arm and you can watch them work out what kind of night this is going to be. This is where the last game is played and where every couple gets its answer.

Lilja van der Zwaag as the Ringmaster, Episode 8 (0:26)

It is Siena’s birthday, so Siena opens the show herself. She bursts onto the stage in a red top hat, a black tailcoat and a red lace harness over almost nothing, sings to the room and sends the dancers spinning while Anna and Bella watch from the crowd. A complete transformation from the curly-haired girl at the lake, and a great showcase for Lilja van der Zwaag.

Lilja van der Zwaag in Red Lace at the Party, Episode 8 (0:23)

Off stage, Siena works the room in the same red lace and black jacket, hair slicked back, while a man in a tuxedo hands her a present. She opens it, tastes something from a little spoon and gives him a look that could start the game all over again. Short, but it is Siena at her most magnetic.

Salka Weber Walks Into the Party, Season 1 (0:19)

Julie pushes through a pair of glass doors in a plain blue shirt and finds herself in a room where nobody is wearing very much at all. A burlesque dancer in jewels swings past, couples are kissing against the curtains, and Julie, who came looking for someone, just stands there taking it in. Pure atmosphere, over almost as soon as it starts.

Salka Weber in the Back Rooms, Season 1 (0:17)

Deeper inside the same night. Julie walks past bodies in the red light, topless dancers and a blonde with her head thrown back, still in her blue shirt and still searching the faces. The camera stays on her expression more than on the skin around her, and it is a clever way of showing just how far this group has drifted from their ordinary lives.

Paula Kalenberg at the Final Party, Episode 8 (1:17)

Anna in her gold dress, alone in the crowd, looking for the man she has to choose. She walks past dancers in feathers, couples tangled together on the stairs and somebody in a red corset riding a stranger’s lap, and every few steps she stops and scans the room. At the end she covers her mouth with both hands. Paula Kalenberg carries the whole finale on her face, and this is the moment you see her make up her mind.

Paula Kalenberg Sex Scene with Fridolin Sandmeyer in the Red Room, Episode 8 (0:43)

For a moment it looks as if Anna is going to leave with Samu. Then she turns around and runs to Paul. They find a room with red velvet walls, a chandelier and a bed covered in red silk, and what follows is the best sex these two have had in the whole series, lit by a single bright lamp behind them. It ends with Anna lying back in the red sheets, smiling for the first time in eight episodes. The happy ending, as earned as they come.

Mona Pirzad in Bed with Two Men, Episode 8 (3:44)

Bella’s finale is the most outrageous scene in the show. She is lying in a giant golden shell bed in blue lingerie with a man on each side, both of them kissing her neck, when Leo walks in with glitter on his face. Instead of a fight he gives a speech: he did not see her, he did not take her work seriously, he was stupid and childish. Then he pulls out a ring made of candy and proposes, right there, with the other two men still in the bed. Bella has one condition, an open marriage. Leo thinks that is perfect.

Why Friends Sex and Games Works

On paper it is a gimmick. In practice the show gets away with it because it is genuinely funny and, every so often, genuinely sad. The sex scenes are frequent and not shy, but almost every one of them is played for a laugh or a heartbreak as well: a husband cuffed to a bed while his wife takes a work call, a hotel seduction that hits a wall, a romantic night ruined by a buzzing phone. Paula Kalenberg is the heart of it as Anna, a woman who married young and is trying to work out whether she married too young or simply married well, and Mona Pirzad steals nearly every scene she is in as Bella. The show is also refreshingly grown-up about consent. The very first rule of the game is that only yes means yes, and the series sticks to it.
